Special   SBA loan application and Business Interruption Insurance claim

The SBA is offering low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to small businesses suffering substantial economic injury as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Upon a request received from a state’s or territory’s Governor, SBA will issue under its own authority, as provided by the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act that was recently signed by the President, an Economic Injury Disaster Loan declaration. 

How is business interruption insurance calculated? 

Calculate the expected gross profits of the business over the indemnity period. This equals expected gross revenues minus expected changes in inventory values, business material use and freight costs. Calculate the costs of moving to and operating your business from other temporary premises during the indemnity period.
